"Alarming threat to Nature" (Press article)

A Lagan Boat Company initiative currently under way is our "Greener, Cleaner Lagan" project, the aim of which is to keep the river and riverbanks free of refuse and to recycle usable flotsam and driftwood. This project was funded by "Better Belfast" (administered by Bryson House) in 2002 in order to purchase of a working boat and equipment for this purpose. The project has been a success and Laganside Corporation have continued funding since 2003.

Lagan Boat Company received the top Platinum Award from Tidy Belfast in 2003 for waste management and recycling.
