What school users say about our field trip programmes... Recommended reading!

I would recommend this boat trip as an innovative,
manageable and safe educational experience. While the
Lagan Boat Company has yet to break fully into the schools
market, it offers competitive rates and I would imagine that it would be flexible in tailoring trips to school's needs.”

The highlight of our trip to Belfast was the boat trip on the River Lagan. Although the trip was not intended as a specifically educational outing, it proved to be a valuable cultural experience for the students. They were very conscious of the existence of the two main traditions and the overall experience served to increase their awareness of cultural diversity. I can recommend the boat trip as excellent value for money, perfectly suited to teenage students and I commend the crew of “Joyce Too“ for their excellent customer service and the familiar ease with which they related to our
students.”

On behalf of all the staff and pupils of New-Bridge Integrated College I would like to thank you very much for making our trip up the Lagan on the 'Joyce' so enjoyable. The feedback from both days was very positive and the boat trip was the highlight of the day for many students. We hope to make this an annual trip for our year 9 students.”

The boat trip provides a unique experience in viewing some of the changes (redevelopment) from the river itself. Many of our pupils would never have seen this area by land and this was a most accessible way of viewing it... the boat trip really fuelled their excitement. The boat trip was clean and comfortable and we were given an excellent and most interesting account on board of the changes that had occurred.
There is no doubt much is to be gained from seeing the real life geography outside of the classroom.
I was most impressed by the professionalism of Lagan Boat Company. I would recommend this trip, without hesitation... it was a rewarding experience for teachers and pupils alike.”
