Thomas Andrews notebook (56 pages)

Thomas Andrews was the chief designer of the Titanic and the Olympic.



 

A quality reproduction of a little known notebook belonging to Thomas Andrews' containing his handwritten notes and diagrams on the construction of the Olympic. Olympic was the forerunner and sister ship of Titanic and of almost identical design.

Real Ironstone China jug

Made by Dunn Bennett & Co. (Burslem)

This jug was used on a ship of the Lord Line on trips between Belfast and Baltimore (every 10 days) pre 1917

Good condition (slight hairline crack)

This brass steam pressure guage (No. 2802) originated in the Abercorn Engine Works of the shipyards of Harland & Wolff in Belfast

"Cunard Princess"

Dimensions: 134mm diameter



Emblem in the centre depicting the Cunard Princess crossing the globe and reads (top and bottom above and below the emblem) " Cunard Princess" and  "Alaska & Mexico Cruises"

On the reverse side is and anchor inside a scroll reading "Presented To" (No name engraved)

A rare piece of memorabilia. An ashtray from the famous Sirocco engineering works where the first ventilation systems were designed and built for the famous luxury liners that were constructed at the nearby shipyards of harland & Wolff.

This ashtray in white porcelain (?) was designed for the Glen Line Shipping Co.
It bears the company emblem inside and the edges are trimmed in gold.

Condition: slightly chipped on the rim

This attractive little silver plated cruet set in the shape of a ship comprises salt and pepper shakers and a small blue plastic container for salad dressing complete with small serving spoon.
