Lagan Boat Company (N. Ireland) Ltd was set up to provide guided Titanic Tours and River Lagan Tours in Belfast for visitors to the city from both home and abroad. It seems only natural, Belfast being the home of the most famous ship in history, the S.S. Titanic, that visitors to the city are greatly interested in seeing for themselves the famous shipyards of Harland & Wolff where she was built and launched.
Many visitors enquire about memorabilia and so we have developed new and exciting products based on authentic drawings which have hitherto not been available, such as ships rigging plans and engineering drawings for a whole range of ships which have been built at Harland & Wolff shipyards.
Our first new products are beautifully presented rigging plans of the Titanic and her first class passenger tender Nomadic. The Nomadic is the last remaining White Star Line ship afloat and is currently dry-docked in Le Havre, France. The Nomadic was built in order to facilitate the embarkation and disembarkation of first class passengers in harbours, such as Cherbourg, which were not big enough to accomodate the Titanic and her sister Olympic Class luxury liners Olympic and Brittanic.
